Bruce Peil is primarily known for his landscape paintings of the American west. All of his subject matter is gathered from life and direct observation. His paintings are in corporate and private collections across the country and he is represented by several galleries. Bruce has been featured in such publications as Southwest Art Magazine, Art Talk, The Artists Magazine, and Art of the American West. He is a signature member of the Oil Painters of America and the co-founder of the Outdoor Painters Society.
' Whatever good there is in my paintings can only be due to my many years of painting on location, which has taught me how to see the subject with much more accuracy than any photo could acheive. I want the veiwer to feel as though they can step into my paintings and share the experience. But first, I must have experienced it myself.'
